Powerups #

Powerups are a fun and strategic way to gain momentum in battle. You can add up to two Powerups to your load out before your match and use them when needed. Don’t waste them though!  Once you use a Powerup, it’s gone forever.  Powerups are purchased with Coins in the companion app or found in reward boxes. When you get a Powerup, it is added to your Inventory. You can view your current inventory of Powerups in the Cards area of the app. Each Powerup card can be used once like a typical consumable item.  There are three levels for every Powerup: Basic, Supercharged, and Hysterical. The higher the level, the more powerful it is!  But you better save your Coins because they are also more expensive and harder to find.  

Using Powerups In Battle #

Powerups can not be used in the first round of each battle. Once you reach round two, they will show up on the Champion orb table. To use a Powerup, simply pick up the one you want and put it in the hopper in the front of your platform. Then slice and punch through the short pattern to activate it.    Each Powerup works a little differently. Some Powerups are not available until you reach higher level Arenas. Read below to learn what they do and how to use them.  

Grenade Powerup #

Unlocks in Arena 1. The Grenade Powerup does just what you’d expect… launches a grenade out to the battlefield, damaging all enemies and structures that are unlucky enough to be in its blast radius!  To use the Grenade Powerup, choose it from the Champion orb table, put it in the front hopper, and then slice and punch through the short pattern.  Your Grenade is now ready to be launched. Point with your right hand to the place on the battlefield that you want to target. Enemies that are in its damage area will highlight with a red stroke around them. When you are aimed correctly, hit the Deploy button with your other hand. There are three levels of Grenade Powerups:  

Basic Grenade #

  • Coin Cost: Cheap
  • Ability: Does 5000 HP of damage to all targeted enemies immediately.
  • Unit Targeting: All enemy units in a 4m circle (approx. ¼ width of ONE lane).
  • Structures: Deals 5000 HP of damage to structures such as Towers, Gates, and Crystals. If a Gate is up on that side, the Crystal is unaffected.
 

Supercharged Grenade #

  • Coin Cost: Mid
  • Ability: Does 10000 HP of damage to all targeted enemies immediately.
  • Unit Targeting: All enemy units in an 8m circle (approx. ½  width of ONE lane).
  • Structures: Deals 10000 HP of damage to structures such as Towers, Gates, and Crystals. If a Gate is up on that side, the Crystal is unaffected.
 

Hysterical Grenade #

  • Coin Cost: Expensive
  • Ability: Does 30000 HP of damage to all targeted enemies immediately.
  • Unit Targeting: All enemy units in a 12m circle (approx. the full width of ONE lane).
  • Structures: Deals 30000 HP of damage to structures such as Towers, Gates, and Crystals. If a Gate is up on that side, the Crystal is unaffected.
 

Freeze Powerup #

Unlocks in Arena 1. The Freeze Powerup stops every enemy in their tracks, giving you time to ample deal with them. While frozen, they won’t be able to move, attack, or defend. You can still attack them!  To use the Freeze Powerup, choose it from the Champion orb table, put it in the front hopper, and then slice and punch through the short pattern.  Your Freeze ability is now ready to be used. Point with your right hand to the place on the battlefield that you want to target. Enemies that are in its freeze area will highlight with a red stroke around them. When you are aimed correctly, hit the Deploy button with your other hand. There are three levels of Freeze Powerups:  

Basic Freeze #

  • Coin Cost: Cheap
  • Ability: Freeze all targeted units for 10 seconds.
  • Unit Targeting: All enemy units and structures in a 4m circle (approx. 1/4 width of ONE lane).
 

Supercharged Freeze #

  • Coin Cost: Mid
  • Ability: Freeze all targeted units for 20 seconds.
  • Unit Targeting: All enemy units and structures in an 8m circle (approx. 1/2 width of ONE lane).
 

Hysterical Freeze #

  • Coin Cost: Expensive
  • Ability: Freeze all targeted units for 30 seconds.
  • Unit Targeting: All enemy units and structures in a 12m circle (approx. the full width of ONE lane).
 

Berserk Powerup #

  Unlocks in Arena 1.   The Berserk Powerup gives your own Champions super abilities for a limited time!  They will move faster and attack much faster, making them insanely powerful.    To use the Berserk Powerup, choose it from the Champion orb table, put it in the front hopper, and then slice and punch through the short pattern.  Your Berserk ability is now ready to be used. Point with your right hand to the place on the battlefield that you want to target. Teammates that are in the selected area will highlight with a green stroke around them. When you are aimed correctly, hit the Deploy button with your other hand. There are three levels of Berserk Powerups:  

Basic Berserk #

  • Coin Cost: Cheap
  • Ability: Targeted friendly units do 2x more damage and have 2x movement speed for next 30 seconds.
  • Unit Targeting: All friendly units in a 4m circle (approx. 1/4 width of ONE lane).
 

Supercharged Berserk #

  • Coin Cost: Mid
  • Ability: Targeted friendly units do 4x more damage and have 2x movement speed for next 30 seconds.
  • Unit Targeting: All friendly units in an 8m circle (approx. 1/2 width of ONE lane).
 

Hysterical Berserk #

  • Coin Cost: Expensive
  • Ability: Targeted friendly units do 10x more damage and have 2x movement speed for next 30 seconds.
  • Unit Targeting: All friendly units in a 12m circle (approx. one full width of ONE lane).
 

Heal Powerup #

Unlocks in Arena 3. The Heal Powerup is your virtual first-aid kit!  Use it on your Champions and structures like Towers, Gates, and Crystals to help them stay alive longer.  To use the Heal Powerup, choose it from the Champion orb table, put it in the front hopper, and then slice and punch through the short pattern.  Your Heal ability is now ready to be used. Point with your right hand to the place on the battlefield that you want to target. Teammates that are in the selected area will highlight with a green stroke around them. When you are aimed correctly, hit the Deploy button with your other hand. There are three levels of Heal Powerups:  

Basic Heal #

  • Coin Cost: Cheap
  • Ability: Heals 2% (of unit max health) per second for 30 seconds. Heals up to 60% of the unit’s health.
  • Unit Targeting: All friendly units in a 4m circle (approx. 1/4 width of ONE lane).
  • Structures: Can heal Towers, Gates, and Crystals if inside the targeted area.
 

Supercharged Heal #

  • Coin Cost: Mid
  • Ability: Heals 3% (of unit max health) per second for 30 seconds. Heals up to 90% of the unit’s health.
  • Unit Targeting: All friendly units in an 8m circle (approx. 1/2 width of ONE lane).
  • Structures: Can heal Towers, Gates, and Crystals if inside the targeted area.
 

Hysterical Heal #

  • Coin Cost: Expensive
  • Ability: Heals 10% (of unit max health) per second for 30 seconds. Should get it back to 100% health unless being simultaneously damaged by a competitor. Once at max health, it will continue to heal damage taken for the remainder of the 30 seconds. Won’t heal past 100%.
  • Unit Targeting: All friendly units in a 12m circle (approx. one full width of ONE lane).
  • Structures: Can heal Towers, Gates, and Crystals if inside the targeted area.
