We’re constantly surprised by how powerful VR is for exercise!

This study by the Korean government simply added a VR headset and simple game to an indoor cycling program, and the results were very different compared to those that followed the exact same program without VR.

The Study:

  • One group of obese, middle-aged women used VR and did a low-intensity indoor cycling program for eight weeks. They were encouraged to exercise three to five times per week for 50 minutes at a time.
  • A second group did the same cycling program but without VR.
  • A third group was the control group and they did nothing (like my kids when I ask them to do chores on the weekend).
